ABOUT PHILIP MARTIN

Allow me to introduce myself!
My name is Philip Martin, and I am an ACT Certified Educator from Daphne, AL, and I believe that I am uniquely qualified to teach ACT preparatory classes. While there are a plethora of good options when it comes to preparation for the ACT, many of them are proficient in one area or another (English/Reading/Writing or Math/Science for example). I, on the other hand, display a proficiency in all areas tested by the ACT, and have over 600 hours of in-classroom ACT prep experience, not including countless hours of research!

Not only have I taught mathematics at the high school level, but I have a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Cum Laude, from Auburn University. I also earned an M.A. in Theology, passing with the Distinction of Honors, from the Franciscan University of Steubenville. I am an award-winning fiction author, have published poetry, fiction, and non-fiction in print publications, and have worked as both a content and line editor for full length books and documentary films. Most recently, I wrote and published my first ACT English book, called "The ACT English System" (and available here).
Why is all of this important?
Because it’s about your son or daughter.
As a current high school teacher, I know how to professionally teach teenagers and the importance of learning their names. As a specialist in all areas of content, I can uniquely provide for my students the proper balance of content knowledge and review and strategic approach to each of the ACT’s subjects.
